Alt-Rock Powerhouse King Falcon Proves Des Rocs Fans Should Arrive Early

April 14th, 2026 – Before New York’s King Falcon took the Bottom Lounge stage, it was already over a quarter full of eager rockers.

From the moment the band stepped on stage, there was a noticeable shift in the room. Armed with guitar riffs meant for arenas, the band quickly gained the trust of fans with their addictive flavor of alt-rock.

With only three members, the band owned the stage with their presence, especially frontman Michael Rubin, who pranced around the stage donning a white guitar decorated with gorgeous roses.

Rubin easily matched the vocal skills and stylings of most rock vocalists and broke from the pack by bringing a confident flair that is uniquely his own. Hard-hitting four on the floor beats echoed across the venue from drummer Dipayan Chakraborty, accompanied by the ripping bass of Joe Conserva.

The crowd gained momentum as the set went on, with encouraged headbanging from the frontman and easy-to-follow claps. Most of the room clapped along to “Everybody’s Down”, a song about the hardships of being in a band, and ended their set without losing an ounce of momentum.

The audience was buzzing the entire set; the music rattled the walls as if the venue held thousands of people instead of hundreds. People were jumping all night, and King Falcon won over fans quickly and easily.

The production was phenomenal, and this is definitely a band to keep on your radar as they’re still new and growing.

After their set, King Falcon members hung out at the merch table the rest of the night to chat with fans.

Their new single “Wait” is expected to drop on April 29th.

About King Falcon

King Falcon are an alternative rock band from New York City, blending vintage guitar grit with modern 21st-century alt-rock attitude. Founded in 2020, the band is outfitted with lived-in and undeniably analog tools of trade; tastefully channeling the raw emotion of classic rock legends while delivering a fresh, contemporary edge. Frontman Michael Rubin (vocals, lead guitar), bassist Joe Conserva, and drummer Dipayan “Dip” Chakraborty craft hook heavy anthems built for both the stage and the streaming age. Their sound sits at the intersection of The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, and Foo Fighters–authentic, guitar-driven, and packed with energy.

The self-titled debut album King Falcon (2023) broke out with millions of streams on Spotify, fueled by fan favorites “Ready Set Go,” “Cadillac,” and “Everybody’s Down.” In 2025, King Falcon’s explosive single “Plastic Crown” became a breakout hit, soaring to #1 on Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Rock Playlist for multiple weeks and landing at #45 on MediaBase Radio in its first week.

Critics and fans alike have taken notice: MXDWN named King Falcon “Best New Artist,” and Guitar World praised them as “one of NYC’s most exciting indie-rock bands.” The group has since shared stages with The Struts, Des Rocs, Sublime with Rome, and more, earning a reputation for their electric live shows and undeniable New York swagger.

As they roll into 2026 and beyond, King Falcon are sharpening their signature alt-rock sound with a new slate of singles delivering the same unapologetic spirit that defines them.
