Los Angeles Duo The Two Lips Share New Single “play” and Announce Fall Tour

(September 19, 2025) – Los Angeles-based indie pop duo The Two Lips (f.k.a. The Tulips) return with their brand new single, “play.” The sugary anthem arrives ahead of the group’s headline Kiss & Tell Tour across North America this fall. Following sold-out shows earlier this spring in Los Angeles, Santa Ana, San Francisco, and New York, the tour will pick back up on October 27th in Las Vegas and make its way through Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Austin, and more. The Two Lips are also set for their highly anticipated Coachella debut in 2026, performing on April 10th and 17th.
Alongside the single, The Two Lips have shared a live performance video of “play,” filmed at a karaoke spot in Los Angeles. Speaking about the new track, Andrea and Jewlz share:
“There are always two sides to every story. ‘play,’ is an honest song about friendship breakups, explains the process of realizing some people aren’t meant to be friends forever. It wasn’t an easy thing to accept that we had drifted away from friends we thought we’d have for life. Even though things didn’t end up the way we both thought they would, it’s always love at the end of the day.”
“play” teases a larger project to come and follows a breakout run that has included opening for Sabrina Carpenter during her two-night stint at BST Hyde Park in London and supporting Malcolm Todd on tour throughout the Midwest. The single also builds on their debut with Island Records, which introduced fan favorites “talk” and “clue,” as well as their 2024 viral hit “still love you (todavía),” which has amassed over 40 million streams and cracked the Top Ten on the Spotify Viral Chart.
Hailing from Cerritos, CA, Andrea and Jewlz bring a sound that feels lush, raw, and impossible to ignore. The longtime friends traded in their day jobs—a kindergarten teacher and a server—to dive headfirst into music in 2023. What began as a way to process heavy emotions and explore the complexities of womanhood has quickly grown into a dynamic career defined by authenticity, heart, and cultural pride. Both are Mexican, and Jewlz also draws inspiration from her Filipina heritage—layers that add depth and identity to The Two Lips’ unique sound.
