The Linda Lindas Release ‘GOTTA GET OUT’ Ahead of Chicago Show

The Linda Lindas have released their third studio album, GOTTA GET OUT, via Reprise/Warner Records. The new album arrives alongside a music video for “Everybody Told Me,” directed by Amalia Irons.
“‘Everybody Told Me’ is always so fun and magical to play, and it was also a really collaborative song to write,” says Mila De La Garza. “That back-and-forth environment brought out so many different ideas from all of us, which led to the call-and-response in the bridge and our first-ever fade-out ending! We really dove deep into our emo and sad vibes on a few songs on this record, and had a lot of fun with this one in particular. There was also a lot of spooky creative direction with the ghostly, Victorian feel of the music video—something we’ve never done before.”
GOTTA GET OUT finds The Linda Lindas expanding their sound and collaborative approach. The band retreated to Palm Springs and Long Beach to write together in the same room for the first time, developing songs through demos, unfinished ideas and experimentation.
The album was preceded by “Blood On Our Hands,” “Closer,” featuring Hayley Williams, and “Burning Out.” The band also recently performed “Burning Out” on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
The Linda Lindas will bring their North American tour to Chicago on September 30 at House of Blues, with VIAL supporting. The tour continues through early November and concludes with a November 7 performance at the Hollywood Bowl supporting Jimmy Eat World.
GOTTA GET OUT is available now via Reprise/Warner Records.

About The Linda Lindas:
The Linda Lindas first played together as members of a pickup new wave cover band of kids for Girlschool LA in 2018 and then formed their own garage punk group soon after. Sisters Mila de la Garza and Lucia de la Garza, cousin Eloise Wong, and family friend Bela Salazar developed their chops as regulars at all-ages matinees in Chinatown, where they played with original L.A. punks like The Dils, Phranc, and Alley Cats; went on to open for riot grrrl legends Bikini Kill and architect Alice Bag as well as heavyweights like Green Day, Paramore, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and countless others.
In 2021 the group went viral with their LA Public Library performance of their song “Racist, Sexist, Boy” the world has watched these four musicians scream about injustice, sing about growing up and exhibit the kind of altruism that is so meaningful to the punk scene. While their evolution as writers, performers and studio geeks is clear, their ethos remains steadfast. With all four musicians each contributing to the writing and lead-singing, the songs are as varied and dynamic as the band members themselves, however the listener always senses the underpinning of both their shared world-view and their bond.
Their debut album, Growing Up, was released in 2022 to wide critical praise with The New York Times calling it “a combination of wholesome and fierce” and Pitchfork hailing it as “the most heartwarming record of the year.” Its follow up, 2024’s No Obligation, was equally hailed by critics. Rolling Stone called it “an inspiring example of rock & roll spirit” filled with “bracingly confident songs full of empathetic rage and precocious wisdom.”
