Angela Autumn Releases Incredible New Album Believer Ahead of Chicago Show

Appalachian-born, Nashville-based singer-songwriter Angela Autumn has released her sophomore album, Believer, via Gar Hole Records. The new record finds Autumn expanding on her mountain-music roots with a genre-blurring mix of indie, psychedelia, pop and gothic country.
Written in the aftermath of a breakup, Believer emerged from a period Autumn describes as dark but ultimately transformative. She says making music helped her believe in a brighter future, with the experience eventually allowing her to dedicate herself fully to the album.
Autumn worked with multi-instrumentalist and producer Baerd, also known as Isaiah Beard, to build out the album’s sound. Alongside its Appalachian foundation, the sessions incorporated fiddle, cello, keyboards, strings, layered guitars and reverb, giving Believer a more expansive studio sound.
Chicago fans will have a chance to hear Autumn live when her North American tour comes to The Hideout on December 4. The Chicago stop follows an extensive fall run through Europe and the UK.
Believer is out now via Gar Hole Records.
