London Singer-Songwriter Amma Unveils Stunning Debut Project Middle Child

(New York, NY – April 15, 2026) — London-based singer-songwriter Amma releases her debut project, Middle Child, available now on all digital streaming platforms via The Orchard – LISTEN HERE. A versatile talent who has penned songs for artists including FLO, Nao, Sam Feldt, and IVE, Amma steps confidently into her own spotlight with a cohesive and self-assured body of work that positions her as a rising artist to watch.
Spanning 10 tracks, Middle Child showcases Amma’s songwriting across the entire project, created in collaboration with an array of acclaimed producers including Bongo By The Way (Chlöe, Ari Lennox, Halle Bailey), Joel Malka (Masego, Fousheé, Tayla Parx), and Gustav Landell (Keke Palmer, Tayla Parx, TWICE). The project also features previously released singles “If You Don’t Love Me” and “Blame Game,” both of which helped build early momentum ahead of the release.
“Instead of creating an album that tells one singular story, I wanted to create a fuller body of work that touches on many different emotions and experiences that anyone can connect to, depending on what they need in that moment,” shares Amma.
“That’s why I tend to call this a project, because it’s something you can come back to at different points in your life and feel something new each time. As a lot of this project deals with finding my identity, I chose to call it ‘Middle Child’ so people could understand the lens these emotions and experiences are written from. After all, I believe we all have a little of that ‘middle child’ feeling in us while we’re caught in between who we’ve been and who we want to become.”
Over the past two months, Amma has rapidly expanded her fanbase while performing across Europe and the UK as support on her sister RAYE’s 51-date THIS TOUR MAY CONTAIN NEW MUSIC tour. The run includes six nights at London’s The O2 and a fully sold-out North American leg, highlighted by performances at Radio City Music Hall (April 15–16) and the Greek Theatre (May 12–13). Since emerging last August, Amma has continued to build momentum across music and media. She has appeared on the covers of Flaunt Magazine and Numéro Netherlands, made a guest appearance on The Graham Norton Show, and delivered her live festival debut at All Points East Festival in London alongside her sisters RAYE and Absolutely. She also earned viral attention following her performance of “If You Don’t Love Me” at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball 2025 at London’s O2 Arena, shortly after being announced as support on RAYE’s global tour.

Biography:
For amma, becoming an artist was never the plan, at least, not at first. Growing up in a family where music was ever-present, it felt like the last thing she wanted to pursue. But sometimes, the thing we resist the most is the thing that calls us home. It wasn’t until a quiet moment alone, writing a song just for herself, that something shifted. That song ended up being played far and wide in the industry and before she knew it, she was sitting in label meetings, offered a chance to share her pen with the world.
As a singer and songwriter, she’s less inspired by particular names in the industry and more by the rawness of artists who feel. Emotion is at the heart of everything she creates. “No matter what I’ve felt, another human has felt it too,” she says. “Although our stories differ from one another, the emotions we experience are something we all share universally.”
Her songwriting is still evolving—shaped by sessions with others, quiet late nights in her bedroom, and harmonizing with her sisters, also artists known as RAYE and Absolutely, since she was little. Singing has always been second nature, but finding her voice as an artist has taken time, courage, and a few leaps of faith.
Debuting now, she’s candid about the fear and uncertainty that come with stepping into the spotlight. “Majority of the time I don’t know what I’m doing here,” she admits. “But when I feel scared, I listen to the song ‘What Am I Doing It For’ and it reminds me that there’s a purpose for what I’m doing and that everything will be ok.”
Each track she releases tells a story from her life, not to center herself, but to connect. Whether it’s love, confusion, pride, fear, or hope, her goal is to create space for others to feel seen. “There’s 27 examples of emotions and 8 billion people in the world. That means we’re never really alone in how we feel.”
