SIIICKBRAIN Surges Forward with Intense “MURKY WATER” and Album Reveal

SIIICKBRAIN has officially announced her sophomore album HOUNDSTOOTH, set for release on June 3 via NOWHERE Recordings in partnership with Pale Chord/Rise Records BMG. Alongside the announcement, she unveils the album’s second single, “MURKY WATER,” accompanied by a striking new music video. The track follows the momentum of her high-energy, dancefloor-driven single “PALO SANTO,” continuing a standout run that also includes a recent feature on Skrillex’s EP Kora.
“HOUNDSTOOTH finally feels like I have found the sound I’ve been searching for since I started making music. The honest and personal lyrics on certain tracks along with the through line of who I am and where I come from truly just feels like the album is the best representation of myself that I could’ve made. The high energy on the production side really shows that through the challenges that everyone faces in life, I’ve found the best coping mechanism to simply be finding the fun again. There’s a way to be honest and process thoughts and emotions while still living a high vibrational lifestyle and I think I finally figured it out,” SIIICKBRAIN says.
“MURKY WATER” further defines the evolving sonic landscape of HOUNDSTOOTH, highlighting what may be SIIICKBRAIN’s most refined work to date. Opening with a hypnotic synth arpeggio and distorted percussion, the track builds from a restrained vocal performance into a trap-leaning breakdown. Lyrically, she explores the tension between vulnerability and ego, confronting a self-aware god complex while acknowledging how both success and downfall can shape perception and influence.
Directed by Afanasii Chavdaridi, the accompanying video visually reinforces the album’s bold and unapologetic identity. It begins in stark black and white within a cattle auction setting, where SIIICKBRAIN moves among women being scrutinized by a panel of judges before ultimately being selected. The narrative then shifts dramatically as she emerges from a luxury sports car amid flashing paparazzi, transitioning into full color. The video culminates in rain-soaked choreography, amplifying the track’s intensity and defiant tone.
A true multi-disciplinary artist, SIIICKBRAIN continues to blur the lines between music, fashion, and visual storytelling. Her genre-fluid approach—blending experimental pop, alternative, hip-hop, industrial, and electronic elements—has set her apart as a distinctive creative force.
