Rachael Sage Brings Joy = Resistance Tour to Chicago’s Uncommon Ground on July 10
Acclaimed alt-folk-pop artist Rachael Sage is set to light up Chicago this summer as part of her Joy = Resistance Tour, alongside singer-songwriter Kristen Ford. Backed by her longtime band The Sequins, Sage will bring her uplifting blend of music and message to Uncommon Ground on July 10, delivering an evening built around inclusivity, compassion, and hope.
Fresh off an overseas tour, Sage shows no signs of slowing down. She recently unveiled two new singles, “Canopy” and “Just Enough,” offering listeners a taste of her upcoming album, Canopy. Billed as both an emotional exhale and an invitation to a more caring future, the record promises to be a soundtrack of solace in turbulent times. Described as a masterclass in radical self-acceptance, Canopy is set for release later this year.
With a reputation as a gifted storyteller, multi-instrumentalist, and prolific songwriter, Sage has built a career marked by critical acclaim from outlets like Billboard, American Songwriter, Under The Radar, The Bluegrass Situation, Earmilk, PopMatters, and more. Her commitment to finding light in the darkest places even propelled her single “Blue Sky Days” onto Billboard’s Top 40 Indicator Chart.
The Joy = Resistance Tour is more than just a series of concerts; it’s a celebration of resilience, artistry, and the power of music to bring people together. Chicago audiences can look forward to a night that’s both deeply personal and joyfully communal.
