Portugal. The Man Release New Single “Denali” + Announce Fall Headline Tour

Fresh off the surprise drop of their summer EP uLu Selects Vol. 2, indie trailblazers Portugal. The Man return with their powerful new single, “Denali.” Driven by distorted synths, grunge-soaked guitar riffs, and frontman John Gourley’s signature vocals, the track pays homage to the band’s Alaskan roots—taking its name from North America’s tallest peak.

This fall, Portugal. The Man will hit the road for their ‘Denali’ Headline Tour, kicking off November 6th in Portland. The run will include stops in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, Boston, New York, and Washington, D.C., before wrapping in Austin. Tickets are available now—see the full list of dates below.

Earlier this year, the band surprised fans with uLu Selects Vol. 2, a four-track EP that peeled back the curtain with raw, unflinching honesty. The release showcased Portugal. The Man’s knack for blending vulnerability with their warped brand of pop, delivering a collection of songs that only they could create.

Portugal. The Man first broke through on a global scale with their 2017 RIAA Platinum-certified album Woodstock, anchored by the smash hit “Feel It Still.” The track earned the group a GRAMMY Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, 7x RIAA Platinum certification, a record-setting 20-week run at #1 on Alternative radio, and crossover success on Top 40 stations worldwide.

Beyond their musical accolades, Portugal. The Man have built a reputation as outspoken advocates for social justice. In 2020, they founded the Pass The Mic Foundation, dedicated to human rights, community health, and environmental causes, with a focus on issues impacting Indigenous Peoples. Their initiatives support organizations such as Alaska Native Health and Seeding Sovereignty.

The group also launched the Frances Changed My Life campaign, named after Gourley’s daughter, to raise funds and awareness for families affected by rare diseases tied to the DHDDS gene and the band has raised more than $1 million to date across both charities.

In addition, they’ve worked with organizations including the National Coalition Against Censorship, The Skatepark Project, March for Our Lives, Keep Oregon Well, Protect Our Winters, and more.

In 2022, they introduced PTM’s NIGHT OUT, an initiative to improve ADA access for disabled fans.

With “Denali” and their upcoming tour, Portugal. The Man continue to prove why they remain one of music’s most vital and uncompromising voices—equally committed to bold artistry and meaningful activism.
