NAV and Young Thug Reconnect for “Trimski” Video – Reveal Spring Tour Dates
NAV and Young Thug reunited for the first time in over five years on “Trimski” last week, and now the pair deliver the official video. Directed and produced by Orazio Singh and co-directed by Herman Atwall, the visual was shot in Miami at Lucky Strike Miami—a regular hangout for both artists when they’re in the city—and plays into their shared affinity for bowling, capturing their chemistry in a setting that feels both personal and celebratory.
NAV has also announced a select run of UK and European tour dates this spring. The trek launches April 29 at O2 Academy Brixton in London, with additional stops in Paris, Cologne, and Amsterdam before concluding in Berlin on May 5. The dates follow recent appearances on tour with Travis Scott and a performance at Rolling Loud India, as well as shows in Tokyo and Delhi. General on-sale begins Friday, February 27 at 10 a.m. local time via navmusic.com.
Produced by Ty Gotem, Elementry, and Rel, with additional production from Rodrigo Barahona and co-writing by Frost, “Trimski” continues a creative partnership that traces back to the Perfect Timing era, when Young Thug was among the first major artists to publicly co-sign NAV. The two have since collaborated on multiple records, including “Boy Back,” “Spend It,” “No Debate,” and “Reprecussions” from NAV’s 2020 album Emergency Tsunami. Drawing from Atlanta slang and culture, “Trimski” reinterprets the word “trim” while incorporating Toronto slang’s signature “-ski” suffix. The term suggests being exceptionally well put together—so sharp and elevated that peers might describe it as “overly trim.”
Since becoming the first official signee to XO in 2016, NAV has built one of the most commercially successful catalogs of the past decade. His achievements include multiple No. 1 debuts, more than 11 billion global streams, 11 million RIAA-certified units, four RIAA Gold albums, and a string of platinum and multi-platinum singles.
His 2022 album Demons Protected By Angels debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop and Rap charts, marking his third No. 1 album and fifth consecutive U.S. Top 10, while Bad Habits and Good Intentions both opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Most recently, OMW2 Rexdale signaled a return to his roots while expanding his global footprint with performances across Tokyo, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangkok, and Riyadh, as he prepares for his next project.
