Modest Mouse Celebrate 30 Years With Powerful New Single “Look How Far” and Expanded 2026 Tour

Modest Mouse has returned with their first new music in more than five years, unveiling the new single “Look How Far.” The track marks the band’s first release since their 2021 album The Golden Casket and arrives as the influential indie rock group celebrates its 30th anniversary. True to form, frontman Isaac Brock delivers the band’s signature mix of blunt honesty and sardonic commentary, punctuated by the stark lyric, “Look how far we’ve come / oh my god we’re so fucking dumb,” a line that pointedly questions the idea of human progress. The release hints at more new music from the band expected later in 2026.
Alongside the new single, Modest Mouse has also expanded its upcoming spring and summer tour with additional North American dates. The run will include multiple nights at Seattle’s 5th Ave Theater, Chicago’s Salt Shed, and Philadelphia’s The Fillmore, along with festival appearances at Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival, and Shaky Knees Music Festival. Newly added headlining shows go on sale Friday, March 13 at 10:00 a.m. local time. Fans can find the full list of tour dates below, with the newly announced performances highlighted in bold.
