Los Angeles Artist myah Announces Debut Album i don’t know what i’m feeling, Shares Shimmering New Single “glitter”

Today, Los Angeles-based alt/indie pop singer-songwriter and filmmaker myah announces her highly anticipated debut album i don’t know what i’m feeling, arriving August 29. Alongside the news, she unveils her sparkling new single “glitter” and its cinematic, Bonnie & Clyde–inspired official music video—out now.

Punchy, heartfelt, and deeply personal, the 17-track LP is a confessional exploration of love’s highs and lows, and the self-discovery that comes with it. Moving through butterflies, joy, turbulence, heartbreak, anger, and every emotion in between, myah captures the messy truth of falling in and out of love. She shares:

“It touches on the crisis you experience as you start to get older and realize that romance and love aren’t what you’ve been told your whole life. It’s toxic and devastating and confusing; it can feel like you’re on top of the world one day and then like your whole world is falling apart the next.”

Each track flows seamlessly into the next, weaving a narrative meant to be experienced from start to finish. myah explains:

“Every song is intertwined from start to finish and it’s meant to be listened to in order. It’s designed so that when people finish the album, they’re left wondering where I am now, and the truth is, I don’t know either. Because, well… i don’t know what i’m feeling.”

Known for her signature shimmering aesthetic, myah brings that magic to “glitter,” a pure love song with a glossy melody. She reveals:

“It was inspired by someone telling me they found my glitter in their apartment and thought of me. That really stuck with me, the idea of glitter as my calling card. It’s about those small, physical traces that stay behind when you’re in love.”

The accompanying music video blends romance, comedy, and mystery—drawing inspiration from Bonnie & Clyde, 1950s style, and even Scooby-Doo. Complete with a cliffhanger ending, the visual is a deliberate shift from her previous work.

“I like curating experiences versus a singular aesthetic. My last music video, dodging bullets, was a medieval epic, whereas glitter has more comedy and is a bit softer. It’s not what you would expect after releasing something so gory, and that’s the point. I don’t want anyone to be able to guess what world I’m going to transport them to next.”

Before stepping into the spotlight as a solo artist, myah built an impressive résumé as a music video producer, working with artists including The Marias, Kehlani, Tinashe, Steve Aoki, and Oliver Tree. Raised in South Florida, she fuses alternative rock, pop, and pop-punk melodies with Midwest emo-inspired guitar riffs, drawing from influences like Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Foxing, and Modest Mouse. Earlier this year, her fan-favorite video for the lobby won a Telly Award and surpassed 160K views.

With i don’t know what i’m feeling, myah takes full creative control—immersing listeners in a lush, nostalgic, and emotionally honest world. ABOUT MYAH

Myah isn’t just another indie musician — she’s the producing force behind music videos for major artists, like The Marias — “Un Millon”, “All I Really Want Is You”, song of the summer “Mood” by 24k Goldn, Kehlani’s “Little Story”, Steve Aoki’s Ultimate & “Invitame a Un Cafe”, Tinashe’s “X”, Oliver Tree’s break-up anthem “Cowboys Don’t Cry”, and more. Storytelling is a huge part of her music identity, writing lyrics that tap into her own life experiences with hints of nostalgia. Myah’s songwriting meshes soft pop female familiarity with emo angst and vulnerability.

Lyrically, myah knows the spectrum of feelings well (excitement, wonder, love, loss – to name a few) and isn’t shy about sharing them. She avoids pronouns in her lyrics when she can, so anyone and everyone can be the lead character in her songs. She considers herself a cinematic romantic and stylized her name and all her songs as all lowercase to keep things simple.

Outside of the studio, myah loves a good croissant and skating around town.
