KALEO Announce Monumental A/B 10-Year Deluxe Release and Epic North American Tour

Today, Icelandic rock band KALEO announce the 10-year anniversary deluxe edition of their breakthrough debut album, A/B, due June 10 via Rhino Records. The expanded double-vinyl release will feature rare studio recordings alongside standout performances from the band’s storied live history, offering fans a deeper look at the era that launched KALEO onto the global stage.
In celebration of the milestone, KALEO will embark on an extensive North American Way Down We Go Tour this summer. The run includes very special guests Dawes, Darren Kiely, and a headline performance at Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre featuring four-time GRAMMY® nominee Elle King.
“This year’s tour will be even more special considering we’re commemorating ten years since the release of A/B,” says frontman JJ Julius Son. “We are truly honored that the music still means so much to so many people, and we’re planning an entirely new show we think our fans are going to love.”
Originally released in 2016, A/B produced enduring hits including “All The Pretty Girls,” “No Good,” and the global smash “Way Down We Go,” which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative Rock chart. The track has since amassed nearly 4 billion streams and has been featured in more than 3 million TikTok videos worldwide.
The upcoming tour will also spotlight material from KALEO’s subsequent releases, Surface Sounds and their critically acclaimed 2025 album MIXED EMOTIONS. Forbes praised the latter, writing, “Like so many of the great ’70s rock albums, it is powerful, diverse, rooted in great American sounds like blues and country, blended with a rock attitude and base sound.”
The summer tour kicks off June 27 at The Novo in Los Angeles, traveling up the West Coast, through the Rocky Mountains, and across the Midwest and Canada before concluding on the East Coast in August. Notable stops include Red Rocks Amphitheatre, New York City’s Pier 17, and Nashville’s Pinnacle.
Formed in 2012 in Mosfellsbær, a small town outside Reykjavik, KALEO began as a group of childhood friends: JJ Julius Son (vocals/guitar), David Antonsson (drums), Daniel Kristjansson (bass), and Rubin Pollock (guitar).
Since then, the band has achieved global success, selling over one million concert tickets worldwide, appearing at major festivals such as Coachella and Lollapalooza, performing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and touring with The Rolling Stones.
KALEO currently boasts 16 million monthly Spotify listeners, over 6 billion global streams, and more than 1 billion YouTube views.
