September 12, 2025 — Grammy-nominated, six-time Juno Award-winning singer-songwriter, and bestselling author Jessie Reyez has announced a North American book tour in celebration of her second poetry collection, Words of a Goat Princess Vol. II: The People’s Purge, arriving October 21. The tour kicks off in Washington, D.C. on October 15, with stops planned for Chicago, New York City, Dallas, and more, with additional dates to follow. Following the success of her 2024 USA TODAY bestselling debut, Words of a Goat Princess, Reyez returns with a bold and deeply collaborative new work. Vol. II: The People’s Purge is both a celebration of community and a powerful exploration of vulnerability. The collection was born from Reyez’s long-running and beloved Instagram series, where fans submitted prompts that inspired her in-the-moment poems. Each chapter opens with authentic screenshots of these prompts, creating an intimate dialogue between artist and audience.
From everyday imagery—a fallen leaf or a sunset’s glow—to themes of heartbreak, abandonment, addiction, and resilience, Reyez crafts poetry that is raw, unflinching, and profoundly human. Each poem is paired with striking illustrations from French Caribbean artist Eloïse Diot, adding new visual depth to Reyez’s words.
This fall’s book tour will bring the experience to life, offering fans the rare chance to hear Reyez perform readings, share the stories behind her poems, and connect through Q&A sessions and signings.
Beyond the page, Jessie Reyez has carved out a unique space in music with her fearless lyricism and emotive performances. She first broke through with her 2016 hit “Figures”, leading to acclaimed EPs Kiddo (2017) and Being Human in Public (2018), the latter earning a Grammy nomination. Her debut album Before Love Came to Kill Us (2020) debuted in the Top 5 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart and was certified Gold by the RIAA, while her follow-up Yessie (2022) earned a Polaris Prize longlist nod.
Reyez has collaborated with an impressive roster including Eminem, Calvin Harris, Lil Wayne, Miguel, Ari Lennox, and more, while also penning songs for global stars like Dua Lipa, Sam Smith, Kehlani, and LISA of BLACKPINK. She has performed on some of the world’s biggest stages—from Coachella to Lollapalooza—and most recently toured with Jhené Aiko. In 2024, she released her bestselling debut poetry collection, contributed to Netflix’s Rebel Moon soundtrack, and appeared on the Grammy-winning Bob Marley: One Love soundtrack.
