San Diego indie outfit Foxtide share one final preview of their upcoming album with the release of “Wait It Out,” a tender and reflective closing track that leans into patience and self-compassion. Both anthemic and intimate, the song captures a moment of pause—turning pages without forcing an ending, and allowing space for growth and understanding.

Set for release on April 17 via Position Music, the band’s sophomore album Entropy marks a clear evolution from their earlier surf-rock roots. Expanding their sonic palette, Foxtide blend celestial, nostalgic synth textures with guitar-driven arrangements and emotionally unguarded songwriting. The result is a record that mirrors the unpredictability and complexity of everyday life while remaining grounded in raw, human experience.

Speaking on the new single, vocalist Elijah Gibbins-Croft explains, “‘Wait It Out’ can be a message to yourself or the ones you love—that you’re willing to be patient, whether it’s until you see them again or while enduring difficult moments together.”

In the lead-up to the album, the band has also launched their “Make Him Run” campaign, encouraging fans to pre-save Entropy. If the album surpasses 10,000 pre-saves, bassist Oey James has pledged to run a marathon in a Canadian tuxedo while carrying his bass—an offbeat challenge fans can follow as momentum builds.

Coming off a year of more than 100 live performances, Foxtide will return to the road next month for their Entropy Tour. Demand is already high, with Los Angeles and San Diego dates selling out quickly and additional shows added, while their Brooklyn stop has also reached capacity. The tour will include a festival appearance at Kilby Block Party in Salt Lake City, alongside a full run of headline dates.
