FKA twigs Unveils New Single “Perfectly,” Celebrating the Community Behind EUSEXUA
Fresh off her tour supporting her acclaimed third studio album EUSEXUA, FKA twigs returns with her brand-new single, “Perfectly.” Accompanied by a striking music video directed by Jordan Hemingway, the single pays tribute to the vibrant community that has formed around EUSEXUA, highlighting its central themes of physicality, vulnerability, and freedom. Fans first got a taste of “Perfectly” live during twigs’ recent tour dates, including standout performances at Primavera Sound in Barcelona and LadyLand Festival in New York City.
The album’s title, EUSEXUA, is a term twigs coined herself—describing it in her April 2024 British Vogue cover story as “the moment before an orgasm: pure nothingness but also pure focus in a state of eusexua. That’s kind of the way I want to live my life right now.” Crafted as a “love letter to how dance music makes [her] feel,” the record was executive produced by twigs alongside longtime collaborator Koreless, and features additional production from a diverse roster including Dylan Brady, Eartheater, Ethan P Flynn, G-Dragon, Jeff Bhasker, and Nicolas Jaar.
Released in mid-January, EUSEXUA quickly drew widespread critical acclaim. The album earned praise from outlets like Rolling Stone, Billboard, Vulture, Variety, and NME, alongside a Best New Music distinction from Pitchfork and a Critic’s Pick nod from The New York Times. As the year reaches its midpoint, EUSEXUA has already secured spots on multiple best-of lists from Consequence—who hailed it as “a triumph”—Rolling Stone, NPR, Harper’s Bazaar, Stereogum, Paste Magazine, and more.
