SUMMARY:Billy Idol
DESCRIPTION:Billy Idol \nSun\, July 12\, 2026\n7:00 PM \nAbout the Performance\nIt’s a nice day to… TOUR AGAIN! From the basements where punk rock was born to the mansions of Hollywood Hills\, Billy Idol stands out as one of punk rock’s most iconic figures—complete with bleached-blond hair\, rebel sneer\, and irrepressible swagger. \nThe bad boy of 80’s rock\, Idol’s power chord hits — “Rebel Yell\,” “White Wedding\,” “Dancing With Myself” — propelled him to international stardom as a chart-topping star of MTV. “He is one of the last remaining strands connecting that raw\, D.I.Y. energy to the glam era and the mainstream\,” writes The New York Times in an interview with Idol covering his nearly 50 year career. \nThe summer tour marks a reflective new chapter for the rock icon. Following his best-selling memoir and the recent release of the documentary Billy Idol Should Be Dead\, Idol is stepping back onto the road\, ready to reconnect with audiences once again. He returns to the stage with the same instantly recognizable attitude\, adding a healthy dose of maturity\, musical depth\, and charismatic reflection. \nBilly Idol is back again\, having never really left.

SUMMARY:Hunx And His Punx
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 10PM / Show: 11PM / 21+Hunx and His Punx are a California band featuring Seth Bogart\, Shannon Shaw and Erin Emslie. Since they got back together in 2019 it seemed like teenage dreams were coming true. First they played John Waters birthday party\, then they toured with Bikini Kill\, got to open for The B-52s at their favorite festival and started recording their first album since 2013. They never would have guessed that it would end up taking 5 years to complete. Or that they would soon be going through some very brutal times – a tragic death\, a global pandemic and being impacted of one by one of Californias worst wildfires in history. On August 16\, 2022\, the same day their White Lipstick single was released on Sub Pop Records\, Shannons fianc and close friend of the band Joe Haener was tragically killed in a car accident. Totally devastated\, they stopped working on their album for over a year while Shannon grieved and made an album with Shannon and the Clams. Eventually they picked up again when Shannon moved down to LA to be closer to Seth and Erin. They were always close friends but were now bonded together for life. This led to writing some of the bands first songs about grief\, Rainy Day in LA and Walk Out On This World. A couple years later while putting the final touches on the album and preparing to start shooting music videos\, tragedy struck again. On January 7\, 2025\, the Eaton Fires erupted and destroyed the majority of Altadena\, CA. About half of the new Hunx record was written in Seths basement which is now contaminated with ash and toxic smoke damage and most of the neighborhood destroyed. Grief and loss once again made finishing anything feel impossible\, so they pushed back the release date by a few months. Which brings us to NOW. Now is finally the time\, On August 22\, 2025\, Hunx and His Punx will officially release their first album in 12 years\, Walk Out On This World. Its their first with Get Better Records\, a label the band is excited to be working with due to their focus on queer and trans artists. Between 2010 and 2013\, Hunx and His Punx released 3 albums – Gay Singles\, Too Young To Be in Love and Street Punk\, on Hardly Art and True Panther Sounds. They were celebrated and often associated with the queer core\, punk and garage rock music worlds. From 2014-2019 they took a 5 year hiatus. Seth got really busy with visual art and recorded some solo albums. Shannon was equally as busy with her band Shannon & The Clams and releasing her first solo record. Now they have finally returned with their fourth album\, Walk Out On This World. The end of the world is near and its filled with wild boys\, rainy days\, bad thoughts\, death and grief\, white lipstick\, and doing acid alone in Hollywood. If its the end of the world\, I want to have some fun. These definitely feel like end times. And no one knows better than this band\, that for every tear you shed\, you must laugh twice as hard and you will eventually be OK. \nPlease Note:\nThis event is 21 and over. Any ticket holder unable to present valid identification indicating that they are at least 21 years of age will not be admitted to this event\, and will not be eligible for a refund. SUMMARY:Modest Mouse
DESCRIPTION:Having recently completed another successful run with Pixies and Cat Power\, Modest Mouse continues to prove themselves to be one of the most consistent live acts today. Modest Mouse released their highly anticipated new album\, The Golden Casket\, on June 25\, 2021 via Epic Records. The Golden Casket heralds another new chapter in the GRAMMY® Award-nominated multi platinum band?s unpredictable evolution. Produced with Dave Sardy and Jacknife Lee in Los Angeles and in Modest Mouse?s studio in Portland\, the album hovers in the liminal space between raw punk power and experimental studio science\, frontman Isaac Brock explores themes ranging from the degradation of our psychic landscapes and invisible technology\, to fatherhood. The twelve tracks behave like amorphous organisms\, undergoing dramatic mutations and mood swings that speak to the chronic tug-of-war between hope and despair that plays out in Brock?s head. \nDoors\n6:30 PM \nAge Restriction\n17 & Over \nVenue\nThe Salt Shed Indoors (Shed)\n1357 N Elston Ave \nPerformers\nModest Mouse \nPlease Note\nThere is a delivery delay on all orders until approximately one week prior to the show. SUMMARY:Violent Femmes
DESCRIPTION:Violent Femmes\nDate\nSunday\, Aug 16\, 2026 • 7:00 PM \nEvent Starts\n7:00 PM \nDoors Open\n5:30 PM \nEvent Details\nBlister in the Sun Add It Up \nGone Daddy Gone Kiss Off \nOne of the most underrated rock bands of the ’80s post-punk era\, Milwaukee’s Violent Femmes created a genre of music that was as unique as their name. They were pioneers of the underground alternative-rock scene before it was cool. \nThe beloved cult band’s acoustic-driven folk-punk sound was original and immediately recognizable. Their stripped-down approach conveyed a sense of urgency and raw emotion. \nIt took a while\, but the band’s infectious\, jittery brilliance could not be denied. After their emergence\, they released their debut album\, Violent Femmes. From start to finish\, this platinum-selling LP remains a stone-cold classic. \nFull of angst-ridden anthems\, their collection of 10 studio albums provides a rich repertoire of music. Several tracks have been featured in movies and on TV to evoke ’80s nostalgia or quirky\, restless energy. \nNow\, a bit older and wiser\, the Femmes happily celebrate their 45th year together. Be sure to catch them live before they’re “Gone Daddy Gone.” \n––––– \nFun Fact: In 1981\, a member of The Pretenders saw the Femmes playing on the sidewalk in front of Milwaukee’s Oriental Theatre where The Pretenders were about to perform. Singer Chrissie Hynde invited them inside to play a brief set before they took the stage. \nhttps://www.geneseetheatre.com/events/detail/violent-femmes-2026 \nCheck out more events here!

SUMMARY:Alabama Shakes
DESCRIPTION:“Raw talent never falters\,” writes American Songwriter. Though it has been more than a decade since Alabama Shakes burst onto the scene\, fans have patiently awaited the reunion of vocalist and guitarist Brittany Howard\, guitarist Heath Fogg\, and bassist Zac Cockrell. Their return isn’t just a comeback—it’s a rekindling of the electrifying chemistry that first redefined modern Southern rock\, soul\, and blues for a new generation. \nWith their 2012 debut album\, Boys & Girls\, Alabama Shakes entered Billboard’s Independent Albums chart at No. 1\, earning multiple Grammy nominations and making Rolling Stone’s list as one of the year’s best albums. Soon after its release\, the bandmates found themselves thrust into the global spotlight\, achieving such milestones as performing at the White House and on “Saturday Night Live.” \nYears of solo exploration and creative growth have only deepened the band’s artistry\, bringing renewed perspective and fire to their unmistakable sound. Reunited onstage\, Alabama Shakes channel the raw urgency of their early days while embracing the confidence and musical maturity earned over time—proving that their bond\, and their brilliance\, remain as vital as ever. \nThey are joined by opening act Liam Kazar\, a Chicago-born\, Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter whose genre-fluid sound blends folk-rock\, pop\, jazz\, and alt-country with ease. Stripped-down and sonically direct\, his music moves with a quiet confidence\, illuminating Kazar’s evolution into a singular and resonant voice in indie music. \nLess Info
