SUMMARY:Andrés Cepeda
DESCRIPTION:Moved from October 28 to May 10. All previously purchased tickets will be honored. \n– \nAndrés Cepeda’s musical career is divided into two fundamental stages: his beginning with the band Poligamia (1989-1998)\, and his consolidation as a soloist. Poligamia\, a Bogotá rock group\, marked a milestone on the national scene with songs that are now classics such as Dispel and My Generation\, leaving a legacy of eight years of hits and four albums. \nIn 1999\, Cepeda began his solo career with the album I know how to die under the FM Discos label. Since then\, each production has been accompanied by recognition from both the public and critics. The Carpenter (2001)\, Broken Song (2003) and the first live DVD by a Colombian artist\, There is always a song left (2002)\, consolidated their musical identity and interpretive sensitivity. \nIn 2005 he launched To Love You Better\, an album that placed five singles in first place on national radio. The production obtained a Gold and Platinum Record in record time and marked the beginning of its international projection. The reissue of the album\, distributed by Univision in the United States\, included unreleased songs by maestro Jorge Luis Piloto and earned Cepeda his first Latin Grammy nomination (2007). \nIn 2008 he presented Day after day\, considered by critics to be one of the most successful works of his career\, with singles that led the radio charts. This album was certified Gold and Platinum and earned three Latin Grammy nominations (2009)\, as well as multiple national and international awards. \nDuring the following years\, Andrés Cepeda made extensive tours throughout Colombia\, Latin America\, Europe and North America. In 2012 he launched The best thing in my life\, an album that achieved Gold and Platinum status and received the Latin Grammy for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album in 2013. This production was accompanied by a successful international tour and multiple awards\, including recognition for digital downloads and physical sales. \nIn 2014 he participated in international festivals and went on tour. 360 Symphonic along with Santiago Cruz and Juan Fernando Velasco. That same year\, FM Entertainment launched Based on a True Story\, a compilation album in CD\, DVD and vinyl format. \nYour album Thousand Cities (2015)\, under Sony Music\, marked a new stage in his career and obtained two Latin Grammy nominations. With collaborations from artists such as Kany García and Ricardo Montaner\, and the production of renowned producers\, this work was the focus of an international tour that extended until 2018. \nIn 2016 he published his first book A Thousand Songs to Sing to You: Love Stories\, and started the tour Compadres with Fonseca. In parallel\, he developed a new presentation format\, exploring staging with big band\, symphony orchestras or intimate versions with guitar and voice. \nIn 2018 he released the single I’m going to love you along with Cali and El Dandee\, a song that had a successful international debut. This single was followed by collaborations with Sebastián Yatra\, Morat and Jessy & Joy. In April of that year he presented the theatrical show Cepeda in Tables\, with more than 80 sold-out shows in its 2018 and 2019 seasons. \nIn 2019 he received the Latin Grammy for Best Traditional Tropical Album for Andrés Cepeda Big Band. That same year he released the album Compadres alongside Fonseca\, a work that once again made him the winner of a Latin Grammy and took him on tour across the United States in 2021. He also virtually premiered the show Cepeda on Tablas: A Thousand Songs to Tell\, an experience that combines music\, narrative and performance. \nDuring the pandemic in 2020\, Cepeda remained active with virtual concerts and the production of new content. In 2022 it launches The Songs My Dad Sung\, an intimate tribute to his roots\, and the live album Guitar and Voice\, recorded at the Teatro Colón. He closes that year with two successful tours: Me Importas Tour and The Purple Route\, with presentations in Colombia\, the United States and Canada\, highlighting its five consecutive shows with full houses at the Movistar Arena in Bogotá. \nInvited by Disney\, Andrés participated in the live presentation of Encanto in Los Angeles and gave talks at Harvard and Berklee\, reaffirming his impact beyond music. At the same time\, he has been a coach for ten seasons in The Voice Colombia\, receiving special recognition for his commitment to national talent. \nIn 2023\, Andrés Cepeda led The Purple Route on 24 stages in Colombia and presented symphonic concerts in the Dominican Republic and Europe. In November\, he received his cuarto Latin Grammy\, again in the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album category\, during the ceremony held for the first time outside the US\, in Seville\, Spain. \n2024 began with a new edition ofLa Voz Kids Colombia and the announcement of his next world tour\, I’m looking forward to Tour\, which began in April with 20 dates in the United States. For the second semester\, he presented Our Life in Songs\, this is how it reaches the most important venues in 14 cities\, in stages such as: The Estadio Polideportivo de Envigado\, La Plaza de Toros de Cartagena\, El Estadio de Beisbol de Montería\, among others to close with a full house at the Nemesio Camacho Stadium in Campín de Bogotá on December 13. \nIn April 2025\, he published his fifteenth studio album Bogotá\, from which the hits Prométeme\, El Café\, Bogotá and Una Flor emerge. This album includes collaborations with artists such as Andrés Obregón\, Manuel Medrano\, among others. \nWith more than three decades of experience\, multiple awards and the unconditional affection of his audience\, Andrés Cepeda has established himself as one of the most important artists in contemporary Latin music.
