Having just performed an impressive two-song set for the Chicago Made Showcase that was brought to Lollapalooza by the Department Of Cultural Affairs And Special Events (DCASE), we caught up with Clairice to discuss her performance, debut EP, and more!

All the artists in the showcase had won this coveted opportunity as part of a fall competition last year, and this was their time to shine for themselves and for Chicago.

During her set, Clairice was able to channel heartfelt emotions and connect with the crowd immediately, with a gentle summer breeze carrying her smooth voice through the air.

Clairice is no stranger to Lollapalooza, having worked a beer tent in 2014 and experienced Chappel Roan’s set last year, adding that she’s usually a “one-day girl because a festival (committed) is no joke.”

In June, Clairice headlined her release show for her EP, “Patient On Me,” which was over a year in the making, “building the set, putting together tracks, and setting ourselves up to have the perfect visuals and lighting design so we can take this show on the road and be ready for any opportunities that present themselves. The EP show was amazing though, tons of people came out, and we had a good time…”

“Patient On Me” signifies a chapter in Clairice’s life, “a story I’ve been waiting to share – unfiltered and exactly how I felt it.” Now that it is out, “it feels very freeing to have the project released, and also everyone who has listened to it top to bottom has been able to genuinely relate to it in the way that I was writing it from. I’ve had a lot of people reach out to me saying, ‘I didn’t realize someone else went through the same heartache I went through’ or “I feel so empowered by this, or whatever.” Clairice’s hope is that it resonates with more people as they hear it.

It takes a special kind of artist who can not only write well-crafted lyrics, but also be able to connect with people on such a deep emotional level like this.

What’s next for Clairice? Well, she has a new single in the works with Rich Robbins due to be released soon, and more singles to follow. She will also be starting to work on a new album, which is projected to be released in 2026.

Keep your eye on Clairice because this star is rising fast.
